SET University and Serhiy Tokarev’s Tokarev Foundation Announce Winners of Generation H’s Third Season

AtriaPRM, a healthtech startup that automates doctors’ work with medical documentation, won the final of Generation H, a national accelerator launched by SET University and Tokarev Foundation. The team received the main prize of €15,000. Another grant of €5,000 went to Enhance Your Ability following an audience vote. The results were announced by Serhiy Tokarev, an investor and founder of Tokarev Foundation.

What Is Known About the Healthtech Accelerator

Generation H was launched in 2024. Since then, more than 30 startups have participated in the programme, with 60 lecturers and mentors working alongside their teams. Programme alumni have taken part in EIT Jumpstarter, Google for Startups, IT Arena and TechCrunch Startup Battlefield 200. Collectively, they have raised more than UAH 11 million in investment.

The third season lasted ten weeks and concluded in Kyiv on 10 September. For the first time, teams from outside Ukraine were eligible to participate. The invited mentors included Volodymyr Nerubenko (TerraLab, Lab24), Fergus O’Dea (FIRE1, Keimon Medical), Alexa Sinyachova (Moeco, Techstars) and Eric Henry (King & Spalding).

According to Serhiy Tokarev, although his foundation works with various technology projects, he considers healthtech a distinct field because it directly concerns people’s health.

“Healthtech has always stood out to me because success in this field is measured not only by a company’s performance, potential revenue or number of users, but also by a family being given another chance, a doctor managing to save someone’s life and a patient being able to walk again. This is the central idea behind Generation H: to help more successful healthtech startups emerge in Ukraine,” says Serhiy Tokarev, founder of Tokarev Foundation.

Participants, Ideas and Artificial Intelligence

Generation H winner AtriaPRM structures diagnostic reports, test results and consultation notes, allowing care coordination, patient communication and clinical processes to be partially automated. Enhance Your Ability, meanwhile, brings together alternative communication tools, educational content and support for therapists, parents and schools working with children with special needs.

According to Yevheniia Klepa, Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at SET University, healthtech in Ukraine can no longer be described as an experiment, as it has developed into a fully fledged industry with its own leaders. She emphasises that Generation H was created specifically to identify such founders.

In addition to AtriaPRM and Enhance Your Ability, three other startups reached the final:

  1. TomoPulse analyses chest tomosynthesis data for diagnostic purposes.
  2. OBRIY combines a unified patient medical record, a licensed clinic, AI-powered triage and telemedicine.
  3. PRM helps patients perform exercises prescribed by their physiotherapists.

The development of healthtech is becoming increasingly dependent on AI. The technology is already being used to analyse medical images and automate data processing. In the future, it will be integrated into other processes, including DNA sequencing, drug development and diagnostics.
